Thee Fenceman, Inc., an Anchorage fence contractor, can trace its beginnings to fencing a new pasture every spring on my dad's Midwestern farm. My experience started in the sixties as a ten year old - barely able to handle a post hole digger! We didn't have the modern equipment that minimizes the hard work of fence construction, but many of the fences we built back then are still standing today. Before starting the fence and deck business in Anchorage in the mid 80's, I earned my Bachelors Degree in Industrial Arts at the University of Northern Iowa. During my 25+ year professional career in the construction industry, I have worked with lumber in both residential building construction and industrial mill working.
